Corrosion protection
All machined parts (e.g. rough turned) must be protected against corrosion.
No protection for semi-finished products with machining allowance
Light anti-corrosion oil for flanges, rings, etc. with the following properties:
- Aromatic compounds content <0.1% according to ASTM D 3257
- Does not contain chromium and barium compounds
- Microparticle anti-corrosion coating
- Effect of anti-corrosion protection in salt spray test > 8 hours according to DIN 50021
- Easy to remove with alkaline or solvent cleaners
- Water displacement properties
- Flash point >61°C according to DIN 51755
- Viscosity 1.5 – 2.5 mm2 /S according to DIN 51562

New process for bullets:
- Anti-corrosion protection with oil is no longer necessary!
- DN 600 balls are protected with weather-resistant foil, possibly vacuum. (Balls should be stored outside!)
- The ball must remain metallic clean for at least 2 years in all weather conditions; the resistance of the foil must therefore be at least 2 years
- Each ball >/= DN 600 must be delivered on a suitable pallet that is resistant to weather conditions for at least 2 years
- Balls </= DN 500 must be delivered in a box Foil wrapping is not required as these balls are shipped to our main warehouse immediately after delivery.
